Call for International Teams
The National Speech & Debate Association is proud to announce the 2015 USA World Schools Debate Invitational, to be heldJune 14-18, 2015. The event will be hosted in Dallas, TX in combination with the National Speech & Debate Tournament, attended by more than 7,000 people.
Teams from all nations outside the United States are invited to apply for an invitation. Preference will be given to the national teams recognized by the WSDC. There are a limited number international team entry slots available. Countries must request an invitation by March 10, 2015. Once your request is accepted, you will be provided with additional information on how to official enter the event and how to request invitation letters for visas. Each country whose request is accepted will be allowed to enter one team of up to five students into the tournament. We anticipate a field of up to 100 teams from both international programs and throughout the United States. Each team is required to supply one judge for the contest.
The USA World Schools Debate Invitational will feature six rounds in the WSDC format with a mix of teams from the USA and from around the world. There will be six rounds of competition on both prepared and impromptu motions followed by elimination debates at the double-octo final level and culminating in a final round before a large crowd of National tournament attendees.

The Convener of the event is J. Scott Wunn, Executive Director of the National Speech & Debate Association, and the Chief Adjudicator is Roger Hatridge (Korea), Vice Chair of the WSDC Tournament Executive Committee.
Fees
The entry fee for invited teams is $50 per team member. We are not able to offer travel subsidy. Teams are expected to arrange their own housing from one of the many hotels that have been contracted for the larger event. See the hotel list from the Association website at www.speechanddebate.org/nationals. Food will be available for purchase but not provided by the tournament. Each team should also enter a qualified judge (an experienced adult). Affordable public transportation will resolve all transportation needs, as the entire competition will be held within the Dallas Crowne Plaza Hotel and the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

Registration for those teams accepted will open on March 15. To request an invitation, please email director@speechanddebate.orgby March 10, 2015 with your country name and the contact information of your team manager.
