No More Bad Motions Initiative Begins Tomorrow

It is common to hear debaters and judges say "that was a bad motion!" 

What do they mean by that? Is this criticism justified?

We all want better motions, for WUDC and WSDC debate, but to get there we will need to develop clear standards of what we mean by that.

First Italian National Debate Tournament to be held in September in Padua

The Association for the Promotion and Culture of Debate, A.C.P.D. “Palestra di Botta e Risposta” and the University of Padua are proud to announce the first Italian National Debate Tournament. Held in Padua from 5th to 7th of September, the tournament involves teams from Massa Carrara, Padua, Rome, Udine and Vicenza in switch-side debates and on mixed round robin and eliminatory basis.
